Greetings.

As a woman of faith, I am on a journey to plumb the depths of the Word of God and our Christian beliefs. I want to explore how to best live the life worthy of our calling (Ephesians 4:1).

Follow my ponderings as I dig deep in my examination of this life of faith. You might notice that I’m not inclined to pull any punches as I question our religious preconceptions, or the value and place of church and it’s teachings within that life. My hope is that together we would all come to know God intimately, and thus become empowered as we come to know why we believe what we believe.

If this is your first visit, you can start from the beginning post here if you like.

Writing a blog is turning out to be a bit more challenging than I first thought it would be, but I was willing and ready to give it a crack because it was God’s idea. As I initially contemplated the idea, I think I saw it as an opportunity to finally feel I had a Continue reading

  • Be A Doorknob

Many years ago, a woman I knew was often heard to be saying “Be encouraged!” It was usually said cheerfully in passing, but without qualification. A wonderful picture would have been built in your mind about this kind, jolly, generous man and what his coming at Christmas meant. Little hearts were filled with hope as we waited in delightful anticipation of his coming, and imaginations were Continue reading

  • Is there something more?

After a wonderful few days camping in the mountains with my family I arrived home. I was glad to be there too – no more long treks to the loo! This morning though I woke up early, and as any semblance of further sleep eluded me, I got up. Wandering around the silent house, Continue reading

  • Who’s Thinking For You?

The process of our growth and development as a born again believer echoes that of our natural lives. We begin as spiritual infants, regardless of our chronological age. We are innocent and open, like the blank pages of an unwritten book. Everything we see and hear from that point –  about God, church, faith and… Continue reading

  • Let’s Just Pause for a Moment

So let’s just pause for a moment whilst I try to help you understand a little better where I’m coming from. From the time I was born again and marvellously filled with the Spirit of God I was a good little Christian that followed the prescribed paths of development through my church. I threw myself Continue reading
