Greetings.

As a woman of faith, I am on a journey to plumb the depths of the Word of God and our Christian beliefs. I want to explore how to best live the life worthy of our calling (Ephesians 4:1).

Follow my ponderings as I dig deep in my examination of this life of faith. You might notice that I’m not inclined to pull any punches as I question our religious preconceptions, or the value and place of church and it’s teachings within that life. My hope is that together we would all come to know God intimately, and thus become empowered as we come to know why we believe what we believe.

If this is your first visit, you can start from the beginning post here if you like.

Looking from the inside Something said by the character Atticus Finch in the book ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’ has always stayed with me since reading it as a teenager. • Be A Doorknob

Many years ago, a woman I knew was often heard to be saying “Be encouraged!” It was usually said cheerfully in passing, but without qualification. There was no explanation of what one should be encouraged about or how one might become encouraged. I felt it was as pointless as saying to someone “Be a chef!”… Continue reading

A wonderful picture would have been built in your mind about this kind, jolly, generous man and what his coming at Christmas meant. Little hearts were filled with hope as we waited in delightful anticipation of his coming, and imaginations were… Continue reading

  • Is there something more?

After a wonderful few days camping in the mountains with my family I arrived home. I was glad to be there too – no more long treks to the loo! This morning though I woke up early, and as any semblance of further sleep eluded me, I got up. Wandering around the silent house, Continue reading
