Greetings.

As a woman of faith, I am on a journey to plumb the depths of the Word of God and our Christian beliefs. I want to explore how to best live the life worthy of our calling (Ephesians 4:1).

Follow my ponderings as I dig deep in my examination of this life of faith. You might notice that I’m not inclined to pull any punches as I question our religious preconceptions, or the value and place of church and it’s teachings within that life. My hope is that together we would all come to know God intimately, and thus become empowered as we come to know why we believe what we believe.

If this is your first visit, you can start from the beginning post here if you like.

  • Digital Nagging

Is it just me, or is anyone else fed up with being nagged by their appliances? What I’m wondering is – how is it that with so many available programs on my washing machine, I still can’t program it to shut up? Now, I know we live in a digital age, but I can’t help Continue reading

As a parent, it was my responsibility to care for and Continue reading

Ordinarily, I am politically neutral. But today, being the day we vote in a national referendum about whether indigenous peoples should have their right to be heard enshrined in the constitution, I feel I must break that neutrality. I am going to ask you to vote NO, because by preferentially specifying one particular people group Continue reading

  • Is Church Like Santa – the sequel

Before I became born-again, I would have told you that I was a Christian simply because I believed in Jesus and God. Even though their existence was an accepted fact to me, the idea of having a relationship with either of them – of actually knowing and being known by them – was an alien Continue reading
